Wow. Hard to find something to complain about after that one. Really fantastic performance by the Cougars in an arena and against a team that has given us fits over the past few seasons. Just how dominant was it? Let's break down a few statistics.

• Season-high 59.2% shooting for the game by the Cougars, including 70% in the second half. Also a season high 11 made three pointers. This was the result of excellent ball movement by the Cougars. Stitt, Sundberg and the Johnsons were all making their shots because they were wide open. Probably the most I've seen the ball swing around the perimeter all season. 
• Season high 17 points for Trent Wiedeman who was unstoppable in just 23 minutes. The Trent we're all used to seeing and expecting showed up last night and had no trouble posting up, draining jump shots and defending.
• Andrew Lawrence: 6 assists and zero turnovers. The entire team: 17 assists, 11 turnovers
• The Cougar bench scored 46 points, the entire Wofford team scored 50 points.
• Season high 12 points for freshman Theo Johnson who showed off a much improved outside shot and scored on a traditional three point play by driving to the hoop and picking up an and-1.
• Karl Cochran, Wofford's leading scorer, was held to just 4 points. He was 2-16 from the field and 0-5 from behind the arc
• Andrew Lawrence played the most of any Cougar with 30 minutes of game time

This was up there with the Chattanooga game and the recent Citadel game as one of the strongest performances by the Cougars thus far. Great defense will keep you in most games no matter how your shooting goes. It's a shame that we let the Samford and Georgia Southern games slip away because the team looks damn good when the shots are falling. Next up is a home contest against a struggling App State team. Good opportunity for the Cougars to notch another SoCon victory and bring the South division a little more even with the North.
